About
Windmeier is a new, casual dining experience brought to you by chef Kelly Windmeier.
Kelly is a young and ambitious chef, born and raised in the south african province Limpopo.
Already amazed by cooking as a young boy, he chose hospitality as his main subject at school and went on to complete internships in South Africa, Ecuador, and at Tim Raue in Berlin. He then learned his craft from the ground up under Michelin-starred chef Ralf Haug at Freustil in Binz on the island of Rügen, which explains his fondness for the clean, elegant aesthetics of Nordic cuisine.

Try again - the menu changes every month

After several positions in Berlin — including Golvet (one Michelin star) and Paris Moskau — he led the newly opened Qui 31 on Lietzensee to rapid culinary success a year and a half ago, earning enthusiastic customer reviews and recognition from the Austrian guide Falstaff.
Encouraged by this success, he is now opening his own restaurant, Windmeier, at the age of 28, where he aims to delight guests with his gourmet cuisine.
